Biography:

I live on an old farm in western Wisconsin where where I'm working on restoring the prairie and savanna that were here before the land was settled. (PrairieHaven.com is where I keep a record of that project.) My particular insect interest at the moment is moths. I've been trying to document all the moths that live on our land.

I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 camera for all my photos. I need something that I can carry around all the time, without having to have too much equipment. The Lumix has a fixed lens, and good zoom and image stabilization - so it works well for me.

I've just started working on updating the life cycle information on the Bugguide 'Info' pages. If you have information to contribute to this project, please let me know.
