Biography:

I am an Agricultural Extension Agent for North Carolina State University in Chatham County, NC. I work with organic farmers and beekeepers. I didn't take my first entomology class until graduate school, or I surely would have majored in it! I teach workshops for farmers on a variety of topics, including organic pest management and farmscaping to create beneficial insect habitat. I have created several demonstration pollinator gardens and use these as teaching tools.

I am always looking for insects when I am outside, and love to learn more about them with each encounter. I have enjoyed looking through the BugGuide website. I am looking forward to learning more from all of you!
