From the time I was a little girl I have loved the outdoors. Being out in nature is a very calming environment, not to mention it is very inspirational for the arts. I love hiking, fishing, but not too keen on camping, the sound of crickets keeps me awake, and I am afraid of snakes. I organically rose garden as a hobby and have a great respect for insects! Been married twenty years, our son is off to college this year, so with an empty nest I'm game for doing some of these "gatherings" you host. But then I'd have to be able to bring along my chihuahua, we are joined at the hip! Perhaps my nest is not so empty afterall. If you guys are ever round abouts First Landing State Park, I'm in for that. I can leave the chihuahua home with Food Network playing in the background and he won't miss me too much, he will think I just stepped out to head to Kroger's and back.
