I feel like I have always been interested in invertebrate life. My only formal training in invertebrate biology was a two semester course in invertebrate biology. My research career was primarily focused on autoimmune diseases of the skin.

Since retiring from teaching in 2008, I have returned to the study of invertebrates and I am fascinated by the diversity in moths.
