I am a native New Mexican born in Roswell. The day before my first birthday the first atom bomb was set off 100 miles upwind of me. I am a retired commercial helicopter pilot. I received my training in the army and flew in Vietnam where I bought my first camera, a Nikkromat SLR. I attended UNM art school where I took as many photography courses as I could stand, 1, 2, & 3. The instructors and I did not see eye to eye on what was worth photographing so much for straight As. I flew civilian helicopters mostly in the Rockies and Alaska for many years. I took thousands of pictures and at least that many more since I got my Nikon D40X. I am in the process of getting photographs organized and digitized. I go no place with out at least my Coolpix S70 or a disposable. The Nikkromat is semi-retired.
