Professor of Biology
Pomona College (since 1998)

Qualifications: BA (Oxford), 1984; D. Phil. (Oxford), 1988.

Courses taught: Animal Physiology, Invertebrate Zoology, Ecological and Evolutionary Biology

Research: invertebrate physiology, particularly the evolutionary physiology of the Oniscidea, focusing on ion transport, nitrogen metabolism and water balance.
