Biography:

My wife and I have retired from medical careers to full time naturalists activities. Our home base is the Springfield Plateau Chapter of Missouri Master Naturalists. We work with a number of wonderful conservation organizations and like-minded individuals. Much of our time is spent working on our creek valley and woodland, managing it for habitat, glade restoration, fighting invasive species and photographing any previously unidentified species, animal or plant.

We are particularly interested in educating young naturalists, both formally in schools and through other organizations. We use Bugguide extensively including the Creative Commons photographs for our Master Naturalist blog at Springfieldmn.blogspot.com.

We are indebted to all the contributor and editors of Bugguide and especially those who share their knowledge and photograph through Creative Commons. Our blog is highly dependent upon those high quality photographs by "real" photographers to document our findings.
