Biography:

Masters in Science and Education from Western Oregon University. Taught science for 28 years and has been studying mycology for 30 years. Most recently I have combined my experiences together into 8 regional biota studies of Oregon. This includes an 8 year study of the ecology of the Biota of fungi and plants of Oregon. I am presently doing work on Phase 8 of the study. This includes areas East of the High Cascades. A summary of those surveys can be found under: Downloads The same page represents some of the identification that I have completed over a 30 year period.

I am Associated with several Mushroom Societies in the PNW including Oregon Mycological Society. Member of the Native Plant Society of Oregon. I have given numerous mushroom talks over the years. Most recently gave a Mushroom Ecology presentation to the Drift Creek Environmental Learning Center just south east of Lincoln City. Taught classes on edible plants and mushrooms through Chemeketa Community College. ID fungi for the Yachats' Mushroom festival, 2009, 2010, & 2011.

Most recently I have been encouraging friends of Estacada Oregon to establish a mushroom society. I have held 2 major identification sessions for them in the fall of 2010 and ‘11. .
