Rowland Shelley, Contributing Editor
City, state, country:
Raleigh, NC, USA
Biography:

Note: Rowland passed away in November 2018.

I am Curator of Terrestrial Invertebrates at the North Carolina State Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh, and my specialities are Millipedes, esp. of North America, and the centipede order Scolopendromorpha. I have been conducting taxonomic research on these organisms for >37 years, have described >180 species, and am intimately familiar with the continental fauna. To the extent possible from the photos that have been posted, I will give accurate scientific names for these organisms.
