For many years Gene and I have been compiling a photographic survey of the desert insects of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. This survey has just been published. BugGuide was essential for this project. The wonderful group of experts and enthusiasts who devote their time and energy towards identifying bugs have named a great many of the bugs in this survey, thus allowing us to learn about how they live. We are most grateful.

Gene and I are now are working on a similar project for the insects and other arthropods of the Colorado Front Range -- plains, foothills, montane, supalpine and alpine. Already several of these insects have been identified on BugGuide! All the help we have received is great. Thank you, Bug-Guide identifiers!
