Biography:

Although I studied Entomology years ago ,it has not been until my retirement that I have had a chance to follow it up. It has not been until the last year that I have had a high speed connection. I am new here and will no doubt make many mistakes, please bear with me.

I use a D70 ,Tamron 70-300 zoom/macro 1:1.2, Tamron 90 macro 1:1. My photos are 90% hand held in bright light. although I have a flash I rarely use it. My photos are manipulated a little in Irfanview &/or FastStone viewer. The exif info is preserved fwiw.

I have a personal project to collect and publish privately and for educational use only on dvd all the bird species of the world. This has been going on for several years now and is about as complete as it can be. >80K pix & ~6K/10k species.

I will mail a 3.6mb dvd to those who may request it.
