Biography:

I have been taking insect photos for many years. I also enjoy photographing ducks and geese, herons and egrets, snakes and frogs, but I think my favorite subjects are beetles and leafhoppers.

I've contributed a number of firsts for BugGuide of many kinds, but I think my favorite was the first BugGuide posting for Northwest Territories, which was the last of our states-provinces-territories to be represented here.

With the help of many of my BugGuide friends, I've published a 6-volume guide to Neotropical insects of all the major orders. (The series title is Insects of Latin America.)
