I am an insect lover, especially the jumping spiders. My 1st encounter with some Asian jumping spider species was back in Hong Kong when I was 14 years old. Back then in the 1980's or even earlier, some people in China catch the jumpers and make them fight for entertainment. In Hong Kong, they sold them to public putting them in a little container made by thick leaf. That was how the first time I got a jumping spider. Of course I never put them into a fight. They are so attractive by their colors, movements, and a big pair of eyes.
Then I discovered the Phiddipus species in US. They are much larger and far more colorful than the Asian species. I instantly fall in love with them.
