Biography:

Hello! I'm Arpad, B.S.Biology University of Pittsburgh, a wannabe entomologist currently looking into graduate schools with a hope of studying insect behavior, ecology, evolution, and/or taxonomy.

Currently a field/lab tech for Indiana University of Pennsylvania, I am uploading pictures I took in the summer of 2012 as part of a research project conducted at the Kane Experimental Station, in the Allegheny National Forest, PA. Funding thanks to the Pennsylvania Wild Resources Conservation Program, and National Science Foundation DEB-1120579. Each caterpillar pictured has been wild-caught and reared, ID's are from Wagner or genetic barcoding (as noted). If you have questions about the project or a specific caterpillar (host plant, weight, length, pupal weight) than please feel free to contact me or my faculty advisor (Dr. Ellen Yerger).
