Biography:
Graduated from CCAC with an RN degree. Worked 20yrs in the field realizing nursing wasn't for me. I am now a full time licensed folk artist with the Bethany Lowe Designs Inc.,and have enjoyed being published in many popular doll magazines. My reproduction dolls are in stores across the country.
Outside the Box Primitives is my online doll business run from my home.
I have always loved photography, bugs and nature, and spend countless hours working on that perfect photo, ( and still am)
I presently use a Nikon D3200, and I love it.
I was fortunate enough to acquire two professional lenses, though they are not micro's they are great for birding.
I am very honored and excited to have been asked several times, for permission to use my photos for university studies and projects, along with photos for citizen science sites. It is inspiring that people are interested in what is found out there! My special interest is the longhorn elderberry beetle. I saw a bunch this year, and documented them for science projects.
In 2012, I completed my Master Naturalist certification, and am learning new things daily and hope to continue that throughout my life. The program was through the Good Zoo, Oglebay Park, WV, what a fun program.
Frog Watch is also a program I enjoy being a part of, along with the Journey North program.
Married to biology professor, Dr. Roger Seeber, we have a combined 6 kids, one still in high school, the others mostly married and off with their families.We have 8 grandkids. We live on a circa 1850's (or earlier) farm, with our horses,cats, and too many vermin (not really, I love vermin)...98% of my photos are taken amongst the weeds on the farm.
My farm was certified by Penn State as a pollinator farm!
My cats are presently all kenneled now and they are safe along with all the wildlife on the farm.
