Karen Anthonisen Finch, Contributor

Full name:
Karen Anthonisen Finch
City, state, country:
Sarasota, Florida, United States
Biography:

I became certified as a Florida Coastal Master Naturalist and volunteer at a Florida wetlands preserve documenting wildlife with both video and photos for walks and talks, and posts for the parks department’s website. I grew up in Indiana and have spent my adult life on the west coast of Florida. I hold an M.S. Ed. in Administration and Supervision and have recently retired, devoting more time to nature.

I have a keen interest in the behavior of invertebrates, most often Lepidoptera, especially mimicry, camouflage, myrmecophily, and all sorts of defensive behavior at any stage of an animal’s life.

I enjoy contributing to Bugguide.com, and some of my images are linked to the Moth Photographers Group at the Mississippi Entomological Museum (Mississippi State U.) http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/MainMenu.shtml

I want to thank all of the people who have made BugGuide possible, and those of you that help with the identification - - thank you, thank you.
