Biography:

Amateur photographer/naturalist with an interest in all areas of field biology particularly birds, insects/arachnids, and wildflowers. I'm a retired laboratory manager with a BS in Biology. I photograph live insects in their natural habitats without harming them. I contribute observations to iNaturalist, BAMONA, and Odonata Central under the User Name of Ken Cheeks.

Equipment

Nikon D3500 equipped with either a 70-300mm Lens or a 105mm Macro Lens for insects and arachnids. For birds and wildlife at longer distances, I use a 150-600 mm Lens

If the images posted do not enhance the guide, please frass them. Sometimes, I use a lower resolution photo for posting to save space time/space. If you'd like a higher quality photo, please contact me. I am happy for my images to be used for education and conservation purposes as long as the photo is attributed to me.
