Biography:

In early 1999, I started sharing my photos through on the web. Over time, it became clear that my real passion was insect and spider photography. That's what most people usually came looking for, and that's certainly the type of photography I enjoy most.

In late 2003 I started creating the website you're visiting now. I wanted to create an online community where people could not only see images, but learn more about the subjects and contribute their own images. The site became such a success that I could no longer manage it myself. Iowa State University graciously offered to take over the site, and they are now responsible for it.
