I am retired from the USDA-NRCS, where I worked on the soil survey program. I have no formal training in entomology. However, it is a subject that interested me from an early age. My main interests are butterflies, mainly by doing counts for the North American Butterfly Association, and ladybugs, of which I submit images to the Lost Ladybug Project. I describe myself as a nature-nerd.
