I planted a butterfly garden a couple months ago and currently am obsessed with walking the backyard every morning to check on the plants and all the insect life 'buzzing' about. Butterflies have become a hobby and I have been raising the caterpillars that come to my garden on my back patio in small mesh zippered habitats. So far, I have succesfully raised the following from harvested eggs and/or caterpillars from my backyard: Monarch, Black Swallowtail, Polydamas Swallowtail, Giant Swallowtail, Gulf Fritillary. I also encounter various strange bugs and spiders which I don't know as much about but I plan to submit my images on this site. I also submit most of my butterfly and moth photos on BAMONA.
