Biography:

I finished Ph.D. on velvet ant systematics at Utah State University in 2012, then moved on to a post-doc in Curitiba, Brazil for 9 months, and afterwards to curator and insect identifier at the Florida State Collection of Arthropods in Gainesville. Now I'm back home in northern California working for CDFA, where I identify molluscs, lower insect orders, true bugs, and all sorts of Hymenoptera. I'm most comfortable and most enthusastic with IDs of mutillids or other solitary stinging wasps.
