I've been at this a long time, raising my first Monarch butterflies at about age 6. I knew that I would do something outdoors when I grew up, and did, working for the National Park Service for almost thirty years. I worked at various parks - Whiskeytown in California, Grand Canyon in Arizona, and finally at Saguaro National Park, also in Arizona. I worked in a variety of Divisions in the Park Service: Maintenance, Resources Management, Interpretation, Fire fighting and finally in law enforcement. Through my entire life, I have studied, observed learned and written about Natural History. I retired in 2002, but still haven't given it up. Now I photograph...almost exclusively natural history subjects Currently I am volunteering at Saguaro National Park near Tucson Arizona, and am compiling a listing of the Arthropods found there.
