Biography:

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at UQAM
- DEC with a specialization in bioecology at Cégep de Saint-Laurent.

During his studies, he has held various positions in the agricultural entomology field. In 2013-2014, he worked at the CEROM, contributing to projects led by Geneviève Labrie’s team which focused on the impact of insect pests on field crops and the use of neonicotinoids. In 2015-2016, he joined IRDA’s integrated fruit production team and participated in many pomiculture and small fruits production projects as a research assistant for Gérald Chouinard and Annabelle Firlej. Since autumn 2016, Simon has been a research professional in Josée Boisclair’s team, whose research mainly involves organic vegetable production and entomology.
