Biography:

I am a graduate student at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, in the Population Biology, Ecology, and Evolution program. I am interested in insect-microbial symbioses, focusing on the bacterial symbionts and plant pathogens associated with squash bugs and other coreids. I've always loved rearing insects and been interested in them since the third grade. Since getting an average camera phone, I've also enjoyed taking pictures of interesting animals, with varying degrees of failure.

Bugguide has always been helpful to me, not only with insect IDs but also just getting a handle on the staggering diversity of arthropods in North America, so I hope my contributions will be helpful to the average curious citizen, the interested hobbyist, and the academic scientist alike.
