Biography:

I'm a life-long insect enthusiast who has a knack for systematics. My exotic insect collection consists of over 250 different species and includes beetles from every continent except Antarctica. Purdue University is my alma mater, and as an undergrad, I tutored friends on the football team and other student athletes in Entomology. Photography has become one of my biggest hobbies, and thus I specialize in photographing insects and aquarium fish.

I was born in Louisville, Ky., and grew up in southern Indiana. It was in this area of the country that I photographed the early bulk of my insect species. While working in Louisville, I gave a few education seminars on insects for the docents at the Louisville Zoo. Doing so allowed for me to showcase my aforementioned collection at those times, too -- good times!

As an on-site project manager for a conveyor systems integrator (2014-2015), work took me from Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Ind., to New Castle, Del., plus Philadelphia, and also the Los Angeles area.

I currently work as a project engineer for a baggage handling system integrator, and I reside in the Dallas area (with my wife and toddler sons), in Texas, the best state in the country!
