Jeff Brown, Contributing Editor
Full name:
Jeff Brown
City, state, country:
Huber Heights, Ohio
Biography:

Education in business, passion in nature.
B.S. Business Management
M.S. Biological Sciences, studying Beetles associated with Fungi.

I am very familiar with Eastern Butterflies, still learning skippers and moths.
Most Eastern millipedes I can take to family or lower.
Co-author of Millipedes of Ohio.
Other random taxa, especially beetles, as they pique my interest!

My identifications are usually visual recognition, not through scientific keys (but this is changing), I welcome any corrections.

While some might hike 2 miles per hour, I prefer 2 hours per mile, to enjoy all the little things around you.

I like to touch and examine nature, so many of my photos will be taken one handed with the subject in the other.

Since many specimens are not able to be definitively identified in the field, I also keep an insect collection. It is mainly beetles, but I also keep Syrphid, Tachinid and Robber Flies.
