Biography:

Nature study is a life-long interest of mine. Now as a retired very-senior citizen, I have time to pursue that interest. Though we’re not camera-savvy, a few years ago my wife and I began a project to photograph all of the many wildflower species we see on walks in the forest that surrounds our Adirondack home. We soon added trees, ferns, fungi, and other plants to the project. Then came birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, etc., so we now include all flora and fauna. Neither of us is an expert on any of these subjects, so we deeply appreciate the help we get from the folks at BugGuide.net!

My first career was in electronics/physics R&D. After ~15 years, I shifted gears and studied biology (PhD - fishes). My last few working years were in college administration. I’ve been retired from all that for 20+ years.
