Entomology BS from University of Delaware (2014). Biology Lab Technician coordinator at Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ.
Wannabe arachnologist in entomologist's clothing.
I have been studying and observing arthropods for as long as I can remember. I have a degree in Entomology but my true passion is spiders and other arachnids. I haven't taken any formal classes on them but have been teaching myself through observation, collection, textbooks and keys.
I helped jump-start the non-insect arthropod collection at University of Delaware. I added many of my own identified specimens (ID'ed to family for the most part since that's what students learn) as well as identified and cleaned up the collection as it was.
I hope to continue onto graduate school sometimes soon, but in the meantime, I work at Rowan University in the biology lab. I still help out friends, family, coworkers, and acquaintances with identifications whenever I get the chance. I love educating people about arthropods and helping them get over their fears. I've done a few outreach programs through UD and I hope to do more in the future.
Also, even though I love insects, I'm also pro-Entomophagy (eating bugs, spiders, etc)!
