Biography:

I am a fish and wildlife biologist working for a federal agency. My career has been quite varied. I am an ornithologist by training and spent a number of years working on habitat selection in non-game birds. I then switched to aquatic nuisance species, invasion ecology, and disease and pest of bivalves in marine ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest. In the back ground, as a hobby, I studied insect biology and taxonomy. For most of my life I have been interested in Brachycera flies and in particular dipterian ectoparasites of North American birds and mammals. However, in recent years I have turned most of my attention to Coleoptera. My current employment deals mostly with agricultural pest and wood boring beetles.

I am interested in exchanging specimens with anyone. Email me if you are interested.
