I am high school science teacher (biology and chemistry). I've always had a passion for nature and for teaching. From a young age, birds captured my attention which seeded my love for nature. Combining this love with my travels,and with photography ultimately led me (in a rather round about way) to bugguide. With such a well organized, accurate and fun forum to learn insect taxonomy, a new passion has flourished.
