Many moth IDs are thanks to references such as Moths & Caterpillars of the North Woods by Jim Sogaard, Peterson Field Guide to Moths of NE North America, MPG, and (of course) BugGuide, net and the many contributors.

Diverse knowledge base in many facets of natural resources, endless curiosity when it comes to nature, began raising butterflies decades before it became a national issue, frequent volunteer at local schools covering diverse nature and science topics.
In 2015 found a mated pair of Cecropias- got 30 to cocoons and all of them hatched in 2016.
In 2016 with help from family and neighbors we raised over 200 cecropias to cocoons! Some caterpillars displayed at Como Zoo "Butterfly" exhibit.
2018 was the first year I raised what I have called the "BIG 3" Cecropia-Luna-Polyphemus in the same year! 2018 also saw the setup of my first mercury vapor light and a very successful sugar attractant.

I'm always looking for a way to improve my camera for night shots as I have no fancy camera or flash...

Enjoy BG and all the expert help. Contacts from Entomologists regarding sightings have been great!

I have literally thousands of photos from my home that are yet to be identified. If anyone would like to lend their expertise I'd relish the opportunity to learn more and add to the knowledge base in a more efficient way.

As always thanks to all that help ID my "unknown" postings.
